Hi Class, This assignment focuses on mark Twain's "The LowestAnimal" and Lanston Hughes' "Salvation." This should be a five-paragraph essay. Write a specific and direct thesis which includes the authors and works and your content or direction. Define your key terms in the introduction. Use expert sources for this. Include at least two quotes in each paragraph. Due Friday, Septemer 10. You can contrast the empiricism found in Twain and the rationalism evident in Hughes' "Salvation." Orr you can elect to focus on only one of the works. For instance, For Hughes, his character seeks empirical evidence rather than belief and faith (two rational approaches). Or you can focus on the empirical approach applied by Twain. **Keep in mind this is a Master's course and the writing needs to reflect that.**
