Since the beginning of the course, you've been working on your assignment, depending on whether you chose Embark, Examine, Embody or Evolve. You were given helpful guidance in each module about how to apply the concepts of the hero’s journey to shape your presentation slides. Now it’s time to bring it all together! Here is what you need to do now: Add content about the ultimate ordeal to your assignment on the hero's journey. How will you imagine the ordeal? As an underworld or abyss? As something different altogether? Add the reward. Add the return to a new status quo or the ordinary world. You’ve heard about this return many times at this point. Remember that all parts of the designated hero’s journey should be clearly evident in your presentation. You will need to meet the following criteria too: Describe a compelling hero/heroine engaged in a complex adventure on his or her journey. Examine a hero or heroine’s identity on the journey within a specific cultural context. No more than 10 slides total. Label each presentation slide at the top with the specific stage of the hero’s journey that you are describing. Use at least 3 features within the presentation tool such as video, images, and audio narration to creatively and effectively enhance the visual appeal and narrated story. Organize a clear and logical beginning, middle, and end, using a consistent flow from screen to screen throughout. Advance a well-formulated, coherent narrative. Demonstrate a nuanced understanding of concepts or an insightful unique perspective. Use accurate and relevant concepts and information having to do with the hero’s journey. You must clearly explain how the connection of concepts relates to your information and presentation. Writing mechanics are college-level. Consult the rubric for your assignment. Finalizing your assignment: Before you upload your assignment, you should add 1-2 slides to the beginning of your presentation, presenting a very brief analysis of your work. Be sure to complete the following: Analyze what you produced to give the reader a high-level or broad overview of how all the different components of your work fit together. You need to orient others to help them understand the amount of effort and thought that went into your work. Use bullet points or highlight in some way to draw attention to key sections of which you are especially proud.
