Once you have done your research (research articles, and web site exploration), your assignment is to write a letter that connects your students to the community. In your letter, take the position that you are a teacher who needs specific support from the community to help your students connect to their future. Explain the details of the program and why you need their help. Be specific about what your expectations are for the community (or state or national) leaders and what you hope the outcomes of your request will be.
