The focus of this week is to better understand the role of diversity in providing care to our clients. Cultural variables play an important role in the therapeutic relationship. Both clients and professionals bring values, attitudes, and assumptions to the relationship based on their own cultural backgrounds. Therefore, it is important to understand how your own culture influences your part in the therapeutic role and to be sensitive to the diversity of your clients. , comment on how important you think it is for clients to â€œmatchâ€ their counselor. Include your rationale and examples to support your view.
