Policies and laws can be used to force behavior change. For example, the state of Minnesota passed the Freedom to Breathe Act which restricted smoking tobacco in public places in an effort to decrease the amount of secondhand smoke exposure and hopefully reduce the number of smokers. This is only one example of a law that was passed in order to improve health. There are numerous other examples. For this assignment, you should propose 3 new laws or policies that you think should be approved in order to improve health. It could be smaller scale, such as at sant poul college , or it could be larger scale, such as the state ban on smoking in Minnesota.
