Instruction
Please see the comments in the attached. There is a rubric I uploaded that you can refer to as well.
Press Release Rubric
Assignment: Compose a press release for a place you are working, have worked, or have visited, for an exhibition or event, past, present, or future (or, if necessary, imagined, such as your own document exhibition project--but please note this in your submission).
Text should include all the appropriate elements of a press release as covered by the Peter J. Wosh and Russell D. James readings, specifically pages 86-89. (45 points)
Press release text should be 350-500 words and contain one image that would be distributed with the press release. (10 points)
Write a caption for the image so that if only the image and the caption text ran in a newspaper, it would suffice to convey the main point of the event/exhibition. (10 points)
Not part of the press release itself, but in addition, include a brief (250 words or less) description of how you would promote the exhibit or engage the audience using the web or another technology. (25 points)
Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are all correct. (10 points)
