    superbwriter | Oct 01, 2017, 21:39 PM
  • this is the post of one student that i have to respond to it In the video presented , the nurse shows no regard or empathy for the patient. The video shows a perfect example of poor communication skills in health care. The nurse exemplifies how not to conduct questioning of a patient. She shows no interest in the patient by saying how her condition is just a faze, she also interrupts the patient frequently with her opinions and self refections on the subject. In my opinion the worst thing the nurse did was say “your life doesn’t seem to be so bad” making the patient feel worse for feeling the way they feel. The use of the methods presented will result in a patient who will not open up to a doctor/therapist and just hinder treatment. The nurse in the video just shows how negligent people without proper training can treat patients.
