This is an Under-Graduate Research Journal Genre and Article Analysis. It will be a 3 section (500 words per section) short essay. You will a) describe/define the genre of under-graduate research journal articles, b) define/describe the various rhetorical strategies used by a particular author in said genre, c) suggest improvements that author could make to be more successful in said genre. *more successful = achieve her/his/their purpose more effectively and/or efficiently. There is no place for your response to the topic in an essay of this sort. You are analyzing the rhetorical strategies of the author, how it fits into a larger genre, and how that genre functions not arguing for or against his/her point.
