  • There are just a few minor adjustments to make this 100% -Discounts received- This is not a thing. Your journal entries are Dr. A/P Cr. Bank Cr. Discounts received This should be: Dr. A/P Cr. Bank Cr. Merch. Inventory -Your Trial Balance is out of balance and it’s throwing off everything else. It took me forever to figure it out, but it is because the dollar amount in your journal entries have text in them in some cases. Once you fix this you will need to recalculate Cost of Goods sold because your per unit cost in inventory will be lower.

  • For example, on 5/1/2017, your instead of 335, you have a space and then 335. Excel thinks that is text and won’t bring it forward to the calculation. I listed all the dates that have this problem below: 5/1/17 5/3/17 5/7/17 5/8/17 5/10/17 5/20/17 5/31/17 6/10/17 8/1/17 9/10/17 10/10/17 After you fix those issues, just make sure that Debits = Credits and Assets = Liabilities + Equity and you’ll have your 100%.
