Reflection #1 one page– Prevention vs. Intervention vs. Empowerment This is the reflection write up to prepare on prevention vs. intervention vs. empowerment. It would be most useful for you to read the Rappaport and Riger articles prior to writing this reflection. Where do you stand in your perspective right now regarding prevention vs. intervention vs. empowerment work? Where were you at the start of the semester and where are you now? Why do you think this shift happened? What thoughts are swirling around for you after reading these? What programs come to mind for each term? How are these influencing how you think about the concepts?

Reflection #2 one page – Systems of Oppression This is the reflection write up to prepare for additional discussion on systems of oppression. It would help to first begin reading chapter 1 and understanding how the banking system of education creates systems of oppression. How am I resisting the oppressive system? How am I supporting it? What is my history that led to my position? Feel free to include any other thoughts you have on this or questions that are rising for you.
