For this paper, you will write a 3 paged, typed, double-spaced, stapled, and paginated paper which addresses the following. Food and hunger are recurring themes in survivor memoirs, and this text is no different. Besides the obvious physical problems caused by starvation, how else does food, or the lack thereof, have an effect in the Lodz Ghetto? Your paper must contain a strong, clearly elaborated thesis statement in the opening paragraph of your paper. All papers must have an introductary paragraph, body paragraphs which use evidence from the source to substantiate the thesis, and a conclusion. A short quotation or two is suggested, but everything else from the sources should be paraphrased in your own words. No block quotations! Use simple paranthetical citations at the end of sentences i.e. (p. 25) to let me know where you got your ideas from. Organize your paper thematically, and logically, so it flows.
