  • The central idea for Greasy Lake is basically trying to fit into a scene they don’t belong in can result in a new understanding of who we are/true character. Their behavior comes to light when their faced with trauma bringing their true character to light. Paragraph 3 is identifying the P.O.V. which the story is in first person and then supporting it with a quote. Paragraph 4 is why is this a good choice for the story? A: Advantages of it being in first person -his phrasing/vocab/illusions -relatable, immediacy, aware of his filter/world view B: Disadvantages of other P.O.V.S not just first person -lose focus, much less sympathy, lack of connection
