Diversity includes differences in race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, socioeconomic and political backgrounds. It also includes sexual orientation and life experiences. After reading Gary Soto’s essay, “Like Mexicans” , Write a 6- paragraph essay comparing and contrasting two aspects of cultural or social diversity of your choice. You can focus on Comparison or Contrast or on both. You should use two secondary sources for this essay. Please make the focus on the contrast of struggles from teens growing up low income socioeconomic background and middle class backgrounds. Also, have access to Gary Soto's "Like Mexicans".
