"""""""""PART TWO: reply to students comment below doesn't have to be lengthy (About a paragraph)""""""""""""
Communication is not only verbal. Sometimes people 's nonverbal communication is louder than their verbal communication. It is important to understand an individuals nonverbal communication before starting your negotiation sessions. Some approaches to obtain this information is taking the individual out to lunch or observing them through a glass office or window while they are conducting business. When you take an individual out to lunch you can get them to relax and observe what type of person they are by learning their facial expression, gestures, and mannerisms. Seeing them handle business will show how they express themselves while dealing with other people in a professional atmosphere.
Two ways we inadvertently reveal or leak information about ourselves is through facial expressions and body movement. For example your face can tell your emotion by a frown. Your body language can tell someone you are nervous by fidgeting with your pen. Some tactics to control leaking this informations is being aware of how you act and react to the environment. For example make eye contact with individuals to show that you are confident and to make them feel comfortable. Another thing is to control is your facial expressions. Facial expressions are virtually the same across the world.
