Students are required to write a term paper (7- 10 pages) that will be based on both library research and brief fieldwork conducted in at least one South Florida religious or spiritual community to which the student doesnt belong. The paper will be focused on one or two closely related and comparable local/global religious performance(s) or ritual(s). One and only one of these two religious/spiritual communities may be well known by the student author of the paper. For this assignment I was chosen for Buddhism as the religion that I am not a part of and Christinity as the closely related topic for rituals/performances. Of course you don't actually have to go do the fieldwork just make up something nice about pretending to go visit a temple. It is in AAA format, my professor really doesn't like citing or quotes but of course if you have to... please use the correct format. He does not consider Wikipedia a source so if you learn something from there please carefully put into your own words. A few key topics to hit are about the religion's belief in spiritual beings, symbols, rituals, god and spirits. This is being turned in through turnitin.com so plagiarism is NOT allowed. I am ok with paper being only 8 pages long it does not have to be 10. Need assignment turned into me no later than Saturday at noon EST. Am willing to tip.
