VIEWING NOTEBOOK GUIDELINES Watch and respond to 2 different types of Reality Television Programs Respond analytically about the program depiction of “reality” Each program is to be a min of 2.5 full typed double spaced pages. All three responses will be combined into one 5-page word document. You are going to view 2 reality-based programs. These programs are of your own choice. I recommend picking programs that will provide you with ample ability to write analytically on it. Set up the paper with the following information TITLE of Program When aired, on what channel, its length Major Characters and Descriptions. Then answer the following questions per each program in essay form. Is this situation real? Has it been over dramatized to sensationalize the audience? Think of what is featured in the episode. Notice how the program focuses on drama. Also think of these situations that are playing out have an entire camera crew following them around. What in this particular episodes seems out of place or not real? (Do not tell me nothing. Something is staged believe me) What does this portrayal show others about our current culture? Think stereotypes of cultures, race, religions, and geographical locations.
