Your Comprehensive Classroom Management and Organization Plan must be written in the first person. You must begin with an introduction that provides a rationale and philosophy. The following components must be addressed in detail with examples provided:
.Covenant Management (Review Chapters 2 & 3 of your text for competencies in covenant management)
.Conduct Management (Review Chapter 4 of your text for competencies in conduct management)
.Content Management (Review Chapter 5 of your text for competencies in content management)
.Establishment and teaching of classroom procedures (provide specific examples, e.g. homework, transitions, dismissal, rest room, etc.)
.Development and teaching of classroom rules, rewards, and consequences (How will you develop and teach?)
.Prevention of problems (proactive strategies)
.Establishment of positive relationships (Review covenant management)
.Students with special needs (Provide examples on how you would work with students who have been identified as Exceptional Students.)
/Students who do not speak English as their first language (What strategies will you use to create an optimum learning environment for them?)
.Home-school connection (Include communication to parents that spell out your discipline plan, general rules, homework policy, availability, etc.)
The graduate student is expected to organize the topics within the Comprehensive Classroom Management and Organization Plan in a logical and sequential manner. Headings and subheadings are advised. Sources must be cited and theories and theorists referenced.
