  • Lane, D. A., & Shams, M. (Eds.). (2011). Coaching in the Family Owned Business. London, GB: Karnac Books. Retrieved from http://www.ebrary.com This source is highly reliable because it forms part of the University's collection of credible academic references that can be used for scientific research. The detailed information about the authors of the source, however, remains scanty. The book details training in the context of family business. More specifically, the source details how to impart the relevant skills needed for the successful management of family-based companies.
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 01:34 AM
  • The insights of the book will be used to come up with recommendations of the best practices for the management of family businesses to ensure sustainability of the firms. The source will also be used to create a basic guide for the training of employees on successful management of family businesses, to ensure sustainability and to avert the risk of being absorbed by large corporations. Thus, the source is highly relevant for the research considering it addresses some of the major concepts of the research such as sustainability and the management of family businesses.

  • Leppäaho, T., Plakoyiannaki, E., & Dimitratos, P. (2016). The case study in family business: An analysis of current research practices and recommendations. Family Business Review, 29(2), 159-173. Several scholars wrote this article under the supervision of a business professor. What is more, the paper is published in a journal and has been cited severally in other academic materials. Therefore, the paper can be counted on as a highly reliable article for academic research. The article looks at some of the most recent trends in the management of family businesses. The paper also offers an overview of how the management of family businesses has evolved over time, together with projections of the future outlook of family-based companies. It will,
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 01:35 AM
  • therefore, come in handy when evaluating the family business practices in a bid to judge their sustainability in the modern operating environment. Moreover, the article will enable the researcher to learn from previous approaches to the management of family businesses; to learn best practices that guarantee the sustainability of the enterprises, thereby preventing the absorption of the companies by large companies. Visibly, the source is highly important for the research as it offers detailed perspectives needed to answer the research question.
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 01:35 AM
  • Mashavira, N. (2016). Performance management in family and nonfamily owned SMMEs in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Interim: Interdisciplinary Journal, 15(2), 32-52. A lecturer wrote this article, which has been published in a renowned journal. The source is, therefore, reliable and credible. The article compares the management of family-based enterprises versus other businesses and SMEs. More specifically, the article reviews how performance in family-based enterprises is measured and improved when compared to other Small and Medium Enterprises.
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 01:36 AM
  • Thus, the source will be used to capture the unique management attributes exhibited by family businesses. Such attributes may work for or against the entities, and as such, they directly affect the sustainability of the firms. This is important for the research considering that the study seeks to review some of the ways that family-based companies can go about ensuring sustainability, by doing away with the risk of being absorbed by huge companies. The article will also make it possible for the researcher to borrow management tactics from other SMEs that can then be applied in Family businesses to guarantee sustainability.
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 01:36 AM
  • Two business experts wrote this book. The writers have extensive experience in both academia and the management of businesses. The book targets both academic researchers and general audiences. Thus, the book is a credible secondary source for this academic research. The book gives a detailed overview of the nature of family business both large and small. It also offers insights about corporate, governance, and sustainability issues facing family bases businesses. The book goes further to detail how the issues facing family-based businesses are slightly different from the challenges facing ordinary companies.
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 01:37 AM
  • Thus, the secondary source will be used to gather background research information needed for the research. The book will also be used to evaluate sustainability issues from the perspective of family businesses; and how such challenges can be addressed for the good of the companies. The fact that the book offers a broad overview of issues facing family companies makes it well positioned to contribute to the research topic. The source is, therefore, important for the research as it offers business perspectives needed to explore the research topic in detail.

  • Rangnekar, S., & Dhar, U. (2009). Improving Managerial Effectiveness. Mumbai, IN: Himalaya Publishing House. Retrieved from http://www.ebrary.com The authors of this article come from India. Based on the tone of the paper, the authors seem to have a business background. Unfortunately, the detailed academic and professional backgrounds of the authors remain unclear. Nevertheless, the source is highly reliable considering that it is part of Ashford’s University collection of viable academic sources. Moreover, the article has adopted an academic approach that makes it suitable for detailed research on the subject of managerial effectiveness. The source recommends some of the approaches to improve the management of businesses in general.
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 01:38 AM
  • Such tactics could be applied to family-based companies to guarantee their sustainability. The tactics could also be applied to the case of family companies, to deal with the threat of takeovers from huge corporate. The threat is an important part of the research topic, making the source invaluable for the research. Thus, the source will be used to offer recommendations on how best to manage family businesses for sustainability and to prevent their looming takeover by huge corporate entities.

  • The website that I have found is by NIMH and it is a very well known site. It supports a lot of information on schizophrenia such as symptoms, risk factors, treatments and therapy, and you can even join a study to help those who suffer from schizophrenia. When it comes to the CRAAP test I think this website is reliable. Currency: The website was last updated in February of 2016 which was 2 years ago. The information that is given to inform on schizophrenia is up to date. They have a reference that is connected to FDA. Relevance:
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 03:16 AM
  • Relevance: The website does answer my question. It gives information on what schizophrenia is, the symptoms to look for, and where you can get help if you or you know someone who may have schizophrenia. This will be a good source to use for my research, and the information that is given is reliable and credential. Authority: The National Institute of Mental Health Information Resource Center. The organization presents an email address, office address, phone number, chat room, and a fax number. There are multiple ways to get in touch with a representative. The website ends with a .gov “https://www.nimh.nih.gov (Links to an external site.) Links to an external site. ”
    User_15651 | Jun 15, 2018, 03:17 AM
  • Accuracy: The information that is given on schizophrenia is supported by FDA and the director Joshua A. Gordon, M.D., Ph.D. and by the advisory board. The website itself is very professional and very informative. Some of the things that you read on the website you could have personal knowledge of it, and some is new information. Purpose: The purpose of the website is to inform those who are not aware of schizophrenia and if they need or want help. The intent of the website is very clear and the information is very informative to those who want to learn more about the disorder. Learning how to use the CRAAP test really helps you when deciding to use information from the internet on websites. It really goes into detail if a website is credible or reliable. I will use this test anytime I ever doubt a website. Reference: https://www.nimh.nih.gov (Links to an external site.) Links to an external site.

  • Feed Back I received. You have done a nice job of providing two good sources for your topic on the military/stress/depression. For your revisions, I suggest focusing on: 1) Purpose- Please review the exact directions for this assignment. In general, An annotated bibliography has two main parts: 1) the citation of your book, article, document and 2) your summative and reflective paragraph (which is called an annotation). The citation must be in APA style. A summary should be more than one sentence and the reflection should be thorough. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited and how this source will be used as you write your own research paper. For more help with making an annotated bibliography, click here: http://writingcenter.bridgepointeducation.com/annotated-bibliography
    User_15651 | Jun 25, 2018, 14:02 PM
  • 2) APA formatting- Even though this is not the reference page, the citations should still be in APA format. Remember to use hanging indentation. The actual reference should be slightly separated from the text (the annotation). Right now, they are all on the same lines. Here is an example of how a citation would look: Author's Last Name, Initials. (Publication Year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, volume #(issue #), pp–pp. doi:xx.xxxxxxxxxx For more help with this formatting, please review the guidelines here: http://writingcenter.bridgepointeducation.com/format-your-reference-list Good luck with this assignment.
