This is a formal essay and should be formatted according to APA guidelines. Needs a title page, headers, citations, or a References page. You do not need to include an abstract. Write a 1000-word (minimum) essay addressing one of the topics described below. You must meet the minimum word count to get full credit. Do not count your title page and references page in your word count. Your essays must include quotes from each text used to get full credit. Be sure to quote, cite, and reference from the text(s) using appropriate APA format. Save your essay as Microsoft Word document. Using TWO to FOUR poems from each writer, compare the ways in which the poets create pictures with words. Your analysis must include three of following terms: alliteration, personification, metaphor, symbolic imagery, literal imagery. Poems by Walt Whitman: -Song of Myself -Beat! Beat! Drums! -Facing West from California Shores -The Dalliance of the Eagles Poems by Robert Frost: - The Wood-Pile - The Road Not taken - Mending Wall - Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
