• Provide background information on the dividend-paying stock you chose. • Provide a brief overview on why you chose this particular company’s stock in your portfolio and how it performed since purchasing it.
• Describe the company, it’s products, it’s historical performance. • Discuss how current events (such as natural disasters and tax law changes) may have an effect on your company. • Ideas clearly stated and well developed, well interpreted
• Discuss the earnings per share ratio and how it relates to its competitors and how it relates to other stocks in your stock market portfolio. • Discuss the company’s dividend yield. How does it relate to similar companies? How does it relate to other stocks in your portfolio? What is it’s dividends policy? Does that seem to be a beneficial policy • Calculate the company’s Dupont ratio for several years and explain significance. • Discuss the company’s financial performance by calculating at least two Profitability Measures and two Market Value measures for at least two consecutive years and explain the significance of each. • Discuss the company’s cash flows. Be careful to distinguish between the sources of cash flows. • Discuss the company’s capital structure. • Analysis should be presented in clear and concise manner
• Conceptually linked with a clear thread from beginning to end. Includes appropriate opening and closing statements. Transitions between individual ideas are appropriate. • Attention to paragraphing with well developed, unified, and coherent paragraphs • Appropriate sentence structures, writing style, and tone • Reflective, thoughtful, insightful, strong well articulated voice • Your paper should be at least 5 pages, and no more, than 10 pages in length – not including footnotes or appendices.
• Overall formatting, references, and in-text citations follow college guidelines • Attention to correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structures etc. • Extended list of quality sources beyond initial requirements
