In the essay Giovanni explores issues revolving around race and prejudice for African American college students on predominantly white campuses. Giovanni also suggests strategies that can be used to combat racial prejudice. The Position Paper calls for you to analyze the essay and present your position on the writer’s main ideas and approach to communicating those ideas. (PDF of Essay is attached) The essay must include: a) what you believe to be the thesis, the main point(s), that the writer of the essay is attempting to communicate concerning the issue of race and prejudice in America b) an identification and analysis of the main arguments and evidence that the writer employs to communicate the thesis c) your position on the writer’s thesis and a well-developed explanation of why you have taken this position d) an MLA works cited entry for the essay you are analyzing and MLA parenthetical documentation for at least three direct quotes from the essay. *Part a - Please send me the thesis you plan you use before you write the essay. I would like to approve it. Also, I’m an African American male and agree with and understand most of Niki Giovanni’s opinions/positions. Please write from that perspective. Another note is that I would like this paper written in the “3rd” person
