Instruction
This assignment should be a continuation of your Sprint Brief #1. Similar to the previous assignment, you are tasked with demonstrating to your client (the role Professor Wirth plays in this project) that you have transitioned from mandate/context to a clearly identified problem, and at this point are developing solutions in line with clear design thinking based on previously collected data and understanding. Your Ideation chapter of this design brief should add the following new sections at a minimum: Job Stories Generate at least 5 of these Don't just list them however, explain their inspiration (did something stand out in interviews? observation? are there clearly relevant data points in the persona?) What do these communicate about potential solutions? How do these mesh with our prior work? You do not need to produce actual Crazy 8 sketches here. The goal of this section is to discuss navigating between solutions and groups of ideas. Imagine you and your team developed many solution ideas and then did our group discussion/voting exercises from class. Write as if you had done this with team members, and highlight some different results in terms of interpretations, such as: General Themes of Ideas Hi Tech vs. Lo Tech Resource-Dependent Complex vs. Simple Unique Approaches and the list goes on... Crazy 8s Develop at least 3 distinctly different interaction scenarios, in which there is a clear Trigger, Action, and Reward/Frustration. Your persona should be featured in these Remember from class that these should engage with more than just "action/result", and incorporate the user experience Explain your process! Write some surrounding analysis in which you break down reasoning, relevance, and how you see this being valuable in validation and communication, and what further areas of design thinking this prompts Scenario Development For each of the 3 scenarios you produced, create a storyboard showing this scenario play out Each panel should be accompanied with brief/descriptive writing about what we're seeing You may use a digital tool/website to create these, though they may also be hand-drawn if they are clear and reflect effort Include analysis for each one, explaining what we can learn from it; extra brownie points if you explain as if you are using these collaboratively within a design group. Storyboards Conclude with a discussion of what ideas are rising to the surface for prototyping and evaluation!
