Part One: Based on the assigned reading of Professor Yerushalmi’s introductory chapter to his monograph Zakhor, pp. 5 until p. 14 (stopping at the beginning of the first paragraph), please post your answer to the following Focus Question One: According to Professor Yerushalmi, what are the unique contributions of Biblical thought to the idea of history and the writing of history? Your response should be at least one paragraph, using correct grammar and spelling. Part Two: After reading Professor Speiser’s article, pp. 280-297, please post your response to the following focus question, noting some major supporting evidence for your answer to the question: Focus Question Two: Do the ancient Mesopotamians, who clearly have a developed mythology with cyclical notions of time, also have a linear sense of history? Your response should be at least one paragraph, using correct grammar and spelling. You will not be able to see the responses of your classmates until you have submitted your post. Once you have submitted your post respond to at least one peer post.
