Social Change Paper: This last paper (5 double-spaced pages) is your opportunity to propose a plan for social change. Using the readings from throughout the course as well as outside research, your assignment is to choose a global problem - immigration and refugees, human rights, climate change, poverty, toxic waste and pollution, resource scarcity etc- showing how the problem has been shaped by iniquitous distribution of power and resources. Next, you will be asked to discuss your plan for implementing changes to address the issue. The plan may take the form of personal change, campus activism, or creating an educational program. Try to be specific as to a situation or problem that you might take on, how you might approach the problem, and what goals you might set for yourself.

  • We start with becous ming AWARE of the of our own human rights and the human rights of others. We can start by doing this by everyone becoming more aware of our contitustial as human beings. Each human has a set of rights that they are entitled too and should embrace on an everyday basis. It all starts back to the first ammendent “ "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech," By making people more a ware of this ammendmant this could help us have a voice in everything we do and realize that every human no matter what race,gender or ethnicity that we are not socially inferior to one another.We can use the ammendent in many ways by having booths on campus by handing out flyers making out piers aware.
