This week, you will read chapter three from the LeBaron, M., & Pillay, V. (2006) Conflict across cultures, a unique experience of bridging differences text. Your assignment is to complete a two-page summation of the reading, concluding with their techniques, thoughts and experiences on how the information from this reading could or could not be applied to this week's case study; religious conflicts case study- Judaism versus Islam; a look at the rationale behind the suicide bomber. Specifically, address this week's case study focus questions: Considering the history behind the region of Palestine and Israel, is there a religious justification for the conflict; otherwise is either side justified in the actions of the past and if so why? If not, again, why? Is there a justification for the Palestinians (Hamas) using the asymmetrical warfare tactic of suicide bombings in an attempt to regain control of their Holy sites? If so, what is it? If not, why? If possible, students are encouraged to conduct an interview with a person who has experience with the religious conflict discussed this week and information from that interview should be included in this essay submission. Essays must: use 1-inch margins, Times New Roman 12-point font, and double spacing. include two references other than the course textbook. References should be formatted according to APA guidelines. Be at least 2 pages of written text. The entire paper must be your original work.
