1. Marketing communications are the means by which firms attempt to inform, persuade, and remind consumers-directly or indirectly-about the products and brands they sell. They show customers how and why a product is used, by whom, where, and when. They can contribute to brand equity by establishing the brand in memory and creating a brand image. I think of Nike without a doubt when it comes to marketing communications. Just Do It is a tag line you cannot forget and is synonymous with the Nike swoosh. I think of marathon runners, athletes, old, young, tall, and short people. Nike makes it clear how to use the product and what the intent is when doing so. You feel like you are faster, taller, stronger, and can do whatever you want to get done. The genius behind this drives the coattails of professional athletes that are at the top of their game. Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Serena Williams, etc. Great process and great follow through with everything they do.

Digital marketing communications tools will include display ads, pay per click advertising, and affiliate marketing amongst others. 3.There are many ways a company manage to retain the correct customers and cultivate strong relationships with them. I currently work for Progressive Insurance and one way we do this is by having loyalty tiers for our customers. This gives the opportunity for our customers to feel appreciated for their business, even if they do not use their policy. If someone pays for their policy for a certain amount of time, they enter into a program automatically called accident forgiveness. This means when a claim is filed, regardless of fault, it is forgiven on their renewal and will not effect their policy. Another way our company helps cultivate strong relationships with our customers is our customer service initiative. It is one of the main reasons why we have retained so many customers, because it is imperative to be treated the best.
4.The marketing communication plan is simply dialogs between the company and its customers. According to Developing effective communications requires eight steps: (1) identify the target audience, (2) choose the communications objectives, (3) design the communications, (4) select the communications channels, (5) set the total communications budget, (6) choose the communications mix, (7) measure the communications results, and (8) manage the integrated marketing communications process. (Kotler, P. & Keller, K. 2016)
Communication channels are important and that there are two types of communication channels: Personal and non-pesonal communication. Personal communication typically triggered either face to face, phone conversations, emails, personal selling or in the form of word of mouth. Social media is the big draw in regards to personal communication and in fact, personal influence is known to be great factor when recommending the companies product. For example of Jennifer Hudson how she was the spoke person for the Weight Watchers organization. (Kotler, P. & Keller, K. 2016)
Non-personal communication on the other hand, is the most method that used and can reach out to massive consumers to advertise their products and services. Sales promotions for existence products, innovation, brand recognition etc. that we can name a few. (Kotler, P. & Keller, K. 2016)
