This assignment will be completed in two parts. The data will be collected this week. Next week you will write up your analysis. Directions for that sections is posted in Week 4.
For this assignment you will gather data for original research.
Content analysis jacket types.
Go to www.firstview.com. Click on fashion shows, then click on “Browse men’s collections by date.”
Search through men’s collections. Find a designer where the photos are clear and show enough detail to complete the content analysis. (W3LO1)
-Find ten examples of men’s jackets, each from a different year going back in time from the current year. (W3LO1, W3LO2)
-Make sure all your examples are from the same designer, each in a different year.
-Save each picture you choose and paste them into a PPT file (attached in the assignment).
-Indicate the lengths, widths, garment fit (loose, snug), and details (lapels, pockets) during the ten-year period on the slides. (W3LO1, W3LO2)
-Use the content analysis chart attached to this assignment to record your findings (attached in the assignment). (W3LO1, W3LO2)
-Complete the information noted on the PPT slides, including the year and the citation. Citation format is explained in the attached document. (W3LO1, W3LO2)
-Submit your PPT and the content analysis chart to Blackboard.
You will be graded on the criteria in the attached rubric following completion of the entire project, Week 3 and Week 4. Your feedback can be seen on the attached rubric. Also, if applicable, your original document with comments will be attached in the Blackboard portal.
The second part of the assignment is a written analysis

In this section of the project you are to compile the gathered data into a written report.
-Use the content analysis chart with your recorded findings to determine how men's jackets changed over a period of ten years. (W4LO1) (W3LO2) (W3LO3)
-Identify those patterns of change and make a prediction for next year.
-Type your comments (analysis) in a Word document. you may use bullet points to list design features, but the explanation must be written with proper grammar and correct citations. (W4LO1) (W3LO2)
-Submit your PPTs to Blackboard.
