Critique of Professional Research Report One of the assignments for this week is to critique a research paper. I’ll give you the guidelines for this assignment, which essentially will be a deconstruction of one of your literature review articles. A deconstruction provides the researcher with the main points and arguments of an article in a concise and easily recoverable form. A deconstruction provides a fast simple way to retrieve the information at will. On the home page of our course is an outline of "Deconstructing a Research Article", in addition to the link below. Please use this format. http://library.msstate.edu/li/ssfgs/research_articles.pdf Please pick one of your literature review articles that was of interest to you as well as related to your research topic. Deconstruct your article for the assignment. The deconstructed article submission should be one page only, maybe two if you have to stretch it. It isn’t a summary of the article, but rather a source of the major points from the article that are applicable to your research question. For the heading please put your name and the article reference APA style. Then proceed with each section heading; Research Problem, Problem Statements, Methodology, etc. Under each section heading bullet point two, three, maybe four points that sufficiently describe that section using the questions in Lee’s paper as a guideline. This is not a narrative and it isn’t for the general research public. A deconstruction is for you and your research; straight-forward, concise and to the point so that if you decide to incorporate the article in your research project you can retrieve the points quickly. We really haven’t done much with methodology, but you can probably make some points about the statistics, sample size, etc.
