Discuss the connections between aspects of “Practicing Health Enhancing Behavior and Alcohol, Tobacco and Drugs. Can that be separated from other important areas such as Accessing Valid Information or Goal Setting or Decision Making?
In a 2 page document prioritize and discuss some of the most important elements in helping children have the ability to make good decisions about their long term health when they may or may not have good role models to help them access information and make good decisions. What kinds of activities, resources, role models, and parental support would be most effective to help children remain free of the damaging effects of substance abuse? How is that ability affected by the communities students may live in, regardless of the sincere efforts on the part of the family and the school communities?
