Directions for Paper Analyzing and Reacting to Two Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Articles

The school where I teach has never introduced nor utilized a PLC. So I need you to be sure to write about how you would implement a PLC into the school. 4 pages Note: You must include at last two references from Chapter 17 of our text, “Group Development” in this paper. Compare or contrast what our text has to say about working with groups with what the two articles discuss and suggest. Part 1 Carefully read two articles: “How Do Principals Really Improve Schools? By DuFour and Mattos (google this). “The Futility of PLC Lite” by DuFour and Reeves. (google this). Then summarize the major points the authors make in each article ( 1 page for each article equals 2 pages). Part 2 Then in two additional pages, describe your experiences with Professional Learning Communities at your school. Note that your school may be organizing and running something similar to a PLC but not calling it a “PLC”. If so, describe what your campus is doing. If you have had a PLC (or something similar) at your school, how has it been functioning? What is going well? What is not going well? What would you change if you were principal? Is your campus running an effective PLC or a “PLC Lite”? If you have never had PLC experience, how would you start a PLC on your campus if you were principal? How would you set it up?

  • My professor was clear and so was I. He did say over a 1,000 words. He said four pages. I know it clearly states it in the directions as well. Then the paper was late and my class was over by the time you sent it as well.
