SEE ESSAY QUESTION IN WORD DOCUMENT. IN ADDITION TO THE ESSAY QUESTION PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING AS WELL: The sub- title for the course this semester was “We built this city.” Along those lines, two of the learning outcomes were: Investigate the complex combination of peoples involved in “building this city,” and: Apply discipline-specific frameworks to critically analyze the role played by various populations in creating the urban environment. The common thread in both learning outcomes, the sub-title of this course, and the final exam question, concerns the people who built this city. Most often, particularly in engineering classes, and in this course as well, we focus on the sites themselves. However, one could consider the sites we visited as the stage on which those people acted to produce the Boston we investigated. This question asks you to choose something you learned about the role of Boston’s people in creating this city, its sites, institutions, or values that you had not considered before. Then, in a well-developed paragraph or two, explain your selection.
