Data Analysis Plan For this section of your research proposal assignment, you will carefully design a plan for analyzing your quantitative data.   • My research proposal topic is substance use disorder in pregnant women. My research questions will include: How effective are the integrated treatment programs among the substance use disorder in pregnant women? How does substance abuse for pregnant women affect the unborn fetus? The data collection method will be based on the interviews, questionnaires, and observation. Due to this, the quantitative analysis that will be best applicable are surveys. This allows the researcher or interviewer to observe and analyze particular behaviors from an intense precision of the collected data and invariably present the information. The surveys can be done on a particular group and the questions must be sampled randomly for each participant (Martin & Bridgmon, 2012).

  • In regards to my research questions, my independent variables that will be measured are demographics, age of first use on illicit drugs, frequency of abuse during pregnancy, number of pregnancies, and family structure. The dependent variable will be the outcomes, if any, of the unborn fetus and the second variable will be participation rates of women in the integrated treatment programs (Brannen, 2017).
