Please answer two out of the following discussion questions: 1.) Evaluating causes of rape –Discuss the four causes of rape discussed in the textbook: victim-precipitated, psychopathology of rapists, feminist, and social disorganization. Then, collect the data about rape presented in the textbook. Assign this data to the relevant theory or theories. Which theory is most supported by data? 2.) Sexual Harassment: What behaviors in the workplace count as sexual harassment? Why does sexual harassment at work occur? Describe the four types of sexual harassment in the workplace. 3.) Rape-prone cultures –Some cultures have higher incidences of rape than others. What are the characteristics of a rape-prone culture? In other words, what cultural assumptions and values about sex, relationships, the body, restraint, recreation, and men and women might be conducive to a high rate of rape? 4.) Marital rape – Discuss the Variations in State Laws for marital rape. 17 states have martial rape laws with loopholes! Some states impose short timeframes for victims to report spousal rape.
