On page 244, your book describes sustainability in terms of producing goods: Sustainable Production is the creation of goods and services using processes and systems that are: non-polluting; conserving of energy and natural resources; economically efficient; safe and healthful for workers, communities, and consumers; and socially and creatively rewarding for all working people.” (Stevenson, p.244) Your task this week is to search the internet for a company that has taken sustainability very seriously. Before posting, look over the postings already in the forum and try to find a company that no one else has already reported on. Once you have found the company you believe is an exemplar of sustainability, address the following: 1)Describe the company and it's products 2)Discuss the efforts this company has taken in these areas of sustainability : 1. Non- or low-emissions footprint 2. Conservation of energy and natural resources 3. Economical efficiency 4. Healthful for workers, the community, and consumers 5. Creative rewarding for workers Instructions: Your discussions with your classmates should be posted throughout the week. You should engage in discussions with a minimum of two classmates. Your original post must be a minimum of 275 words with replies to classmates must be substantive, at least 150 words and incorporate concepts and materials that you have learned this week. You must give attribution for all sources.
