PART 1:Module 6: Assignment 1-- Teaching Mathematics Using the C-R-A Approach
In this assignment, you will select a specific topic or skill in mathematics (it could be in the area of arithmetic, in the area of geometry, etc.) that you would like to teach to a group of students with dyscalculia or to a group of students who may have minor mathematics problems.
Instructions:
Complete the following steps:
Describe the hypothetical group of children (age, grade, problem that have to whom you will teach the strategy. These are students with dyscalculia or who may have minor mathematics problem.
Decide the specific topic or skill in mathematics that you would like to teach. This can be in arithmetic, geometry, etc.
Using the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (C-R-A) approach, explain step-by-step how would you teach that topic.

Your response should be approximately two pages in length, not including the cover and references page. It should be edited for minor grammatical and spelling errors and adhere to the general writing style and formatting guidelines of the APA Manual (6th ed.).
PART 2: Module 6: Assignment 2 - Journal Reflection: Rodrigues et al. Article (2016)
Read the article entitled Preparing for Algebra by Building Fraction Sense (Rodrigues, Dyson, Hansen, & Jordan, 2016) and complete a reflection on it.
Read the following article:

To access it, do the following: Copy the doi number; go to Google Scholar, and paste the doi number. Once the title of the article appears in Google Scholar, click on it and download it in PDF.

Explain how number lines can help students to understand fractions.
What are the strengths and weaknesses (if any) of this strategy?

If you are a teacher of students without disabilities, did you notice any difference working with a child with disabilities?
