Length: 7-9 pages (not including your bibliography, a title page is not necessary), double-spaced, single sided, proper font size (12 point) and type (seriffed).
Using MLA Format to cite all pages, quotes, sources and title page and reference.
Essay structure:
Viewing a minimum of three feature length films from three countries (No U.S. films and only one may be English speaking) with no more than two films from one director. Select two or three themes that distinguish & differentiate national elements and cultural conditions reflected in the films selected. You may also include in your discussion how the films you selected differ from mainstream North American cinema (for instance how these films might be viewed differently by those aware of the national elements and cultural conditions and those unaware of the same). Be sure to include in your discussion the elements that transcend the local national and cultural context.
The three films you will compare are: The Lives of Others, The Intouchables, and The Hunt. You do not have to watch these films, but compare all three of them using summaries, or watch the film or read reviews and summaries of the film. Use correct citing for sources, and make sure to use MLA format and only compare the three films I have provided you with while answering what I have provided for the essay structure.
