written assignment a,b

Date Posted: 12/12/2019
Category: Psychology
Due Date: 13/12/2019
Instruction
A) In a double-spaced, APA-formatted paper of 1000 to 1375 words (4 to 5 pages), thoroughly examine each of the following questions/topics. Be sure to properly cite and reference your sources whether from your textbook, supplemental sources, or other research. B) Write a 2-3 page, double-spaced paper that examines the cognitive changes that occur in adolescence and older adulthood, the structure and function of the four lobes in the human brain, and divisions of the nervous system. Answer the following questions: You learned from the text that our brain continues to develop through early adulthood and there are changes in our cognitive abilities throughout our lives. Adolescence and late adulthood are times when we may see significant behavior and cognitive change. With adolescence, how is brain development related to adolescent impulsivity and what areas of the brain are indicated in adolescent behavior? With aging adults, what areas of the brain are impacted in later adulthood and what functional changes are noticed as people age? [MO2.5] The human cerebral cortex is divided into four lobes: frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital. Each of these areas have a specific cell structure and functions. Compare each lobe and the main functions of these areas. Then, choose two of the lobes and discuss the effects of trauma in these areas. [MO2.1, MO2.4] Organize the following divisions of the nervous system in a hierarchy to illustrate the relationships between them: central, peripheral, autonomic, sympathetic, parasympathetic, and somatic. Analyze the basic functions and components of the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic and parasympathetic) nervous systems. [MO2.6] **Further instruction on what should be included in the paper can be found in the attached document
