This week you read about the basic principles of group, group dynamics, and group leadership. For this discussion, you will read the article by Tucker, Wade, Abraham, Bitman-Heinrichs, Cornish, & Post (2019) that discusses some factors that influence and predict cohesion among group members over the life of a group. Please respond to following questions in your initial post: What was one factor about group cohesion that you found interesting from the article? Why? How does the role of the group leader affect group cohesion? How can you use the findings from this study in your future work with groups? Support your initial post with at least one cited resource. In order to be eligible for maximum points, respond by Day 6 to three or more peers, (each post, not including the initial post, must be done on separate days) which may include your instructor, who provided different examples/articles than the one you selected. Initial post and responses must contain at least one scholarly reference. Include all references in APA format and respond by: • Asking a probing question • Sharing an insight from having read someone's posting • Offering and supporting an opinion • Validating an idea with your own experience • Making a suggestion • Expanding on peers or instructor postings Return to this discussion in a few days to read the responses to your initial posting.
