Part 1: Quantitative Research Design discussion post
Submission Instructions:
First, write 1-2 sentences describing your Purpose Statement, Research Questions, and Hypotheses for quantitative research (See Creswell and Guetterman, Chapter 4). Then, complete the 5 steps below to describe your data collection procedures (See Creswell and Guetterman, Chapter 5).
1. Determine who the participants you would like to study are. Make a list and post it as part of this guided practice.
2. Make a list of steps to obtain permission needed from schools or companies. Add the list to the post.
3. Create a list of types of information to collect from several sources available.
4. Search the Barry University library database and other sources to locate and select instruments to use that will net useful data for the study. Make a list of potential instruments and post it.
5. Create a plan to administer the data collection process to collect data.
Part 2: Article Critique #1 -- Quantitative
Article Critiques: Each student will read and react a quantitative research article in their area of professional interest. These articles must come from peer-reviewed journals and either be selected or approved by the instructor of record. Each critique will consist of a summary of the purpose, methodology, results and discussion sections of the article. In order to address the summary, the student will use the article critique template found attached to this assignment.
