Read the In Depth: Disorders Related to Specific Foods (Text pg 93-97). Visit at least one of the Web Resources listed at the end of the In Depth (pg 97). Summarize the information, especially the difference between intolerance and allergy. Choose one food intolerance/allergy and use the information provided by the Web Resources or other source to describe the component of food that cause a reaction, the types of foods which can lead to symptoms, and typical symptoms of the reaction. Do you or someone you know claim to have a food allergy (no names please)? What is that allergy and what are the symptoms?
