Instructions: Locate a current news story about ANYTHING related to a microbe (bacteria, fungi, virus, etc.). It can be something negative (like a disease outbreak, food poisoning/recall) or positive (new drug development, bioremediation, etc.). PLEASE NOTE, THIS SHOULD BE AN ACTUAL NEWS ARTICLE, NOT JUST GENERAL INFORMATION FROM A WEBPAGE. You can find articles fairly easily with a simple google search. Other useful websites include sciencedaily.com and microbeworld.org. The event can be from anywhere in the world – does not have to be local – but it should be something that occurred within the last 5 years.
