In the memo, you will emphasize the need for three financial statements, describe in plain language what information is contained in each of the three statements, and explain how each statement is connected to the next one (what amounts flow from an income statement to a statement of owner's equity to a balance sheet). Assume your friend knows nothing about accounting. Please follow any standard business memo format. A good business report should follow this structure: introduction (tell the audience what you will talk about) -- main body (talk about it) -- summary/conclusions (repeat what you talked about). Thus, your memo will have at least three paragraphs (the main body may consist of more than one paragraph though).
