InstructionBelow are the REQUIRED list of questions for the Oral History Interview:1. What is your name? Where were you born? What year were you born? 2. What culture(s) or ethnicities do you feel you belong to? 3. When did you first understand cultural/ethnic belonging (feeling a part of a culture)? Ask your interviewee to describe an example.4. When did you first understand cultural/ethnic difference (feeling different from other cultures)? Ask your interviewee to describe an example.5. What is your relationship to your neighborhood and city? How has your neighborhood and city shaped you culturally? Ask your interviewee to describe an example.6. What is the cultural significance of food? Ask your interviewee to describe an example.7. What is your understanding of authentic foods? What is your understanding of authentic tamales? You may need to explain the general concept of food authenticity to your interviewee. 8. What fusion foods have you had? Are these fusion foods an exchange of cultural foods or cultural appropriation? You may need to explain the general concept of cultural food exchange versus cultural appropriation.9. What are the cultural and community benefits of local foods? 10. How does food technology affect cultures and communities? You may need to explain general farm solutions to climate change and how they affect cultures and communities. The Oral History Essay (Part 2):For the essay part of this assignment, you will need to COMPARE your experiences to your interviewee. You will have nine paragraphs comparing your experiences. These nine paragraphs should be based on questions two through ten. In other words, each paragraph should compare your responses to your interviewee’s responses for each question. In each paragraph, you will need to PROVIDE AND ANALYZE at least two quotes from your interviewee in order to demonstrate the differences or similarities in the responses to each question (the notes you take on the interview will help you pick out quotes). Please make sure to include some of the examples that you and your interviewee provided.Your Oral History Essay must be at least 900 words, 12 point font, Times New Roman, 1”margins, and double spaced. You do not need a cover page. Your first page should state your name, the date, and the title of the assignment at the top. You do not have to restate the questions, you just have to compare your responses and your interviewee’s responses for questions two through ten.
