Format
Essay should be 4-6 pages in length, excluding title and reference pages. Text should be typed using Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins. Make sure to number your pages by conforming to the ref/citation format you use. Papers will be penalized for being too short or too long.
You must reference and cite in-text a minimum of 5 recent (2000-2015) scholarly resources.
You must use American Sociological Association OR American Psychological Association in-text citation/reference formatting guidelines.
Content
Throughout this essay, you should incorporate brief comparisons between the United States and The Netherlands.
Introduce The Netherlands and give key population details such as: number of citizens, poverty rates, race/ethnicity composition, average age, family size, education levels, economic situation, government type, etc.
Identify two or three of the most pressing issues concerning the poverty rates of The Netherlands and explain their status/causes.
Discuss if/how the government of The Netherlands is addressing poverty and critique the effectiveness - should include information on non-governmental organizations that are partnered with the government to solve issues related to poverty.
Make two or three detailed suggestions for reducing poverty in The Netherlands.
