Write a 3 variations of focused descriptive essay or narrative story. Write three separate narratives either based on one of the narratives or stories we have read in class (i.e. "Shooting and Elephant", "The Necklace,""Senior Picture Day"). Shift the point of view, setting, editing or focus in each version. Provide different point of view (1st person or 3rd person), strategies (description or narration), and focus (family, work or gender roles). Choose at least on of the rhetorical strategies or Writing Modes ( Narrative , Description, reflection, etc.) provide focus and purpose to each variation. You final portfolio will include all of your notes and drafts, and 3 finished narratives or essays, of about 3 pages each (types and double spaced, 11-point font).
