Students are grouped to complete a research project on a chosen country other than U.S. This research presentation has three phases:
This project will help you learn about a specific country and its people, economy, and culture. A general review of your chosen country to cover (i) Geopolitics of that country; (ii) Current state of the economy using major economic indicators; (iii) Synthesize the elements of country analysis; (a) Propose recommendations for international business opportunities; and, (b) Defend recommendations for international business opportunities.
Students must take what they have learned in class lectures, assignments, discussions and readings to present their findings and analysis in a professional manner. Each team member is required to play an active role in the presentation. Handout materials are required.
Phase I. A study of the relationships between your chosen country and neighboring countries “geopolitics”
Phase II. An analyzing overview of the chosen country’s current state of the economy in general using at least 5 major economic indicators of that economy;
Phase III. Study and analyze (a) Synthesize the elements of country analysis; (b) Propose recommendations for international business opportunities; and, (c) Defend recommendations for international business opportunities. You need to assess one or more of existing multinational organizations with initiatives (insiders or outsiders your chosen country) that can provide new trade opportunities. Give your recommendations.
Students should provide the professor with an outline of what their presentation tackles. Handout materials to your classmates at the time of presentation is highly encouraged.
