Instruction
Each of the 5 items must fulfill a specific task. These are:
1. An item that supports a point you made in your original un-research paper. Explain how this source supports your original point.
2. An item that adds a new piece of information to your original un-research paper. Explain how this new piece of information would affect your original paper.
3. An item that reveals or corrects an inaccuracy in your original un-research paper. Explain how this information corrects your paper and how it might affect your paper.
4. An item that challenges your point of view or presents an alternative way to examine your topic. Explain how this information would affect your original paper.
5. An item that provides a useful quote for your paper. Explain why you chose this quote and how it affects your paper.
Include a variety of information types and sources from different points in the information cycle. DO NOT have more than 2 of the same types of information. Also, you MUST INCLUDE at least one item from a library database (other than the Library Catalog or WorldCat).
Annotation for each source must have:
1. Correctly identify the type of information it is (newspaper article, scholarly article, blog, etc.)
2. Tell where and how (your search terms or strategy) you located the item (Library Catalog, Google, ProQuest, etc.)
3. Explain how the item supports, enhances, challenges, adds to or corrects your paper. Please be specific and refer to your original un-research essay.
4. Evaluate the authority and validity of the information and justify its inclusion in your project
Questions to answer for reflection 2-4 pg double spaced APA format:
1. What level of expertise do you feel you had about your topic when you wrote your original un-research essay?
2. What did you learn about your topic through your search for sources? How did the information you found change your understanding of the topic?
3. What further research, if any, would you want to do to further your understanding of this topic? Explain.
4. Would you alter your topic in any way if you were to continue your research? Please explain and provide examples as appropriate.
