For this module, you will provide a draft of your project—Improvement Strategy and Action Plan, which is the third milestone of your final project. The final project comprises a research paper and an action plan that illustrates your grasp on the concepts you have learned throughout the course and your ability to analyze a situation and recommend an improvement strategy and action plan with metrics. Review the requirements for the final project that are located in the course syllabus. You may prepare your final project on your current organization or select on organization from the Internet. Your final project will consist of two documents: a research paper and an action plan with metrics (See templates in Appendix C in the textbook Getting the Right Things Done). In Module 2, you selected an organization in which you chose to research and recommend an improvement strategy and action plan. You also selected an approach that would help you design your action plan and metrics, using the templates in Appendix C in the textbook Getting the Right Things Done. In Module 4, you presented an outline and a bulleted list of the topics that you would write your final paper on. In your research for your final paper, you will provide an overview in each of the following areas of your organization. Performance management and reward systems Performance management process Performance management and strategic planning Defining performance and choosing a measurement approach Measuring results and behaviors Gathering performance information Implementing a performance management system Performance management and employee development Performance management skills Reward systems and legal issues Managing team performance Your final paper will include a title page, abstract and table of contents, introduction, background and significance, discussion of each area, implications, and recommendations. Your action plan can be submitted as an appendix or additional document. In Module 8, you will present a final version of your project, including the action plan. In this module, present a draft of your final project. You can submit this in two parts: A draft of your research paper for your improvement strategy A draft action plan with metrics To prepare you for the final version of your project, your draft should be a minimum of 4–6 pages in length. Be sure to follow the APA (6th edition) style for writing, editing, and citation of sources.
