Instruction
You must complete the three (3) mini-cases. Each one has a write-up and a data set. You must turn these in together, but each one stapled together separately. Names are: Winery, Grades & Producer Inc. I want to see your work. I want to see your thought process. This means don’t just answer the questions. It means show me how you arrived at these answers. This means include things like your regression outputs if you had to do multiple ones. Include scatter plots if applicable. If you regress through zero, show me why. Look at the instructions for the assignments that we completed in class. These will give you an indication of items to include. MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE INTERPRETATION OF YOUR FINAL MODEL. However, for each mini-case, put an Executive Summary on the first page. In the summary, answer the key questions posted. This should be no more than one page long (for each). NO late assignments will be accepted.

  • For the Producer Inc analysis, you failed to answer the questions here: At a minimum, you should look at all the various relationships, create a statistical model and test which factors, if any, contribute to increased sales. Particularly answer – if in store demos boost sales, for how long? Does in-store placement impact sales? What other factors impact sales (stick only to those provided)? Based on your regression analysis what should management do with their money? In this answer you MUST look at and interpret coefficients and make SPECIFIC recommendations on where and how to spend money. FYI – you may always argue that these programs need to be cut. Do not assume that there will be statistical evidence arguing to keep these programs.
