I have attached my files on this assignment and the topic I have selected below. My topic: Demand Hours I am currently an employee at CVS/Pharmacy located in Houston, TX. I will be researching the matter of our employer limiting our store to a specific number of demand hours. I will be bringing this issue to the attention of my district leader Akash Patel. In my research I will be explaining how the set number of hours are not acquitted enough to be split in between a total of eight employees for daily task to be accomplished. In regard to making the demand hours work for us as employees , CVS/Pharmacy should consider adjusting the business hours to allow employees to come in one hour before the store opening to prepare for the workday, approve or allow overtime to be sure daily task are completed by due dates, and scheduling more than two people on a shift to balance out the workload. Having only one shift manager and one cashier on each shift makes it hard to assist customers alongside completing daily tasks like: closing out deposit, price changes, replenishing shelves, putting up promotional ad, staging seasonal sets, cleaning and facing. Having to take care of customers needs and a long to do list is hard to complete when you are working in a busy high volume store that only has two associates working the sales floor per shift .
